What do you need to know when it comes to your health insurance?
Know what your benefits are when it comes to health insurance because there are so many things you have access to that you might not even know. I think the second piece is making sure you're scheduling an annual appointment. There’s a multitude of services that you have access to having health insurance that can help you meet some of your goals as you go into the New Year. People just don’t take advantage of them.
How can you prepare for a yearly exam?
The biggest piece is to sit down and look at what are the goals that you personally want for your own health this year. Setting those goals together really helps you decide what’s going to be important and what you’d like to address. I think when we talk about setting goals with folks, it’s also an opportunity to say "what are those things both physically and mentally that I’d like to address in the New Year?" We set resolutions, we want to lose weight, we want to live healthier lives, but when you’re making that plan, it’s important to have a conversation with your provider so you know what those plans are in regard to your health.
