Recipe: Peppermint Oreo Cookie Balls

This no-bake recipe uses just a handful of ingredients. Oreos are combined with cream cheese and crushed candy canes and dipped in chocolate. This is an easy and festive treat—the perfect one-bite dessert for the holidays.

Peppermint Oreo Cookie Balls

Serving size: 2 balls

Ingredients

  • 6 candy canes, finely chopped (about 1/3 cup), divided
  • 1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 pkg (15.5 oz) Oreo cookies, finely crushed
  • 16 ounces candy wafers (milk, dark or white chocolate)

Directions

  1. Reserve 1 tablespoon chopped candy canes. Mix remaining candy with cream cheese and cookie crumbs until well blended.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Shape into 48 (1-inch) balls and place on baking sheet.
  4. Refrigerator for 30 minutes or freeze for 10 minutes.
  5. Melt candy wafers according to package instructions.
  6. Dip balls in melted chocolate; place on baking sheet. Sprinkle with reserved candy.
  7. Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.

Dipping Tip: Put a cookie ball on a fork and hold over the bowl of melted wafers. Spoon melted candy over the cookie ball, allowing excess to drip off. Use a toothpick to slide the cookie ball off of the fork and onto the parchment paper.
