Peppermint Oreo Cookie Balls
Serving size: 2 balls
Ingredients
- 6 candy canes, finely chopped (about 1/3 cup), divided
- 1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 pkg (15.5 oz) Oreo cookies, finely crushed
- 16 ounces candy wafers (milk, dark or white chocolate)
Directions
- Reserve 1 tablespoon chopped candy canes. Mix remaining candy with cream cheese and cookie crumbs until well blended.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Shape into 48 (1-inch) balls and place on baking sheet.
- Refrigerator for 30 minutes or freeze for 10 minutes.
- Melt candy wafers according to package instructions.
- Dip balls in melted chocolate; place on baking sheet. Sprinkle with reserved candy.
- Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.
Dipping Tip: Put a cookie ball on a fork and hold over the bowl of melted wafers. Spoon melted candy over the cookie ball, allowing excess to drip off. Use a toothpick to slide the cookie ball off of the fork and onto the parchment paper.
