Recommit to Your Goals

By the LiveNow Well-Being team

As we enter the last full month of spring, it’s important to reflect and look at how far you have come since the resolutions that were made at the beginning of the year. Were you able to exercise as much as you wanted? How about the goal you set to clean up your eating? Chances are you may have gotten bored already, or those goals have fizzled out some. Now is the perfect time to recommit!

With all of the recent changes happening, you may find yourself in a different working environment, and out of your most comfortable routines. Several fitness centers are closed, while trips to the grocery store are limited. Unexpected life changes are bound to happen, but it’s up to you to make the decision to stay committed and fulfill the promises you’ve set for yourself.

A few tips on reflection and recommitting:

  • Write out your goals: This is one of the best ways to keep yourself committed when you can visually see what you need to work toward.
  • Set a realistic time-frame: Having deadlines holds you accountable.
  • Be empathetic: Try not to make excuses, but forgive yourself if you don’t quite get to where you need to go. Don’t be afraid to reach out for help if you need it.

Now that you have a few good starting points to restart your goals, don’t hold back!
