This Breastfeeding class is a one night class designed for those who are planning on breastfeeding as well as those who are undecided. Father/support person is encouraged to attend. Topics covered include health benefits of breastmilk to mom and baby, tips for success, problem solving aspects, father's role, breast pumps, as well as returning to work and breastfeeding. The fee of $20 includes both mother and partner. The class is held in Avera McKennan Education Center located on the ground floor of the Orthopedic Institute at 810 E. 21st St. At this time masks are optional and participants are encouraged to practice safe social distancing.
This class is part of the 5 week series of classes. Register for this class if you ONLY want Breastfeeding information and not info on labor and delivery, or caring for a new baby.
