Description

Research shows that structured lifestyle interventions can cut the risk of Type 2 Diabetes in half. Avera St. Luke's Hospital is launching the National Diabetes Prevention Program in 2019. Join Certified Diabetes Educator and Lifestyle Coach, Brenda Pence, RN, as she leads this group through a year-long journey to a healthier lifestyle. The goal of this program is to prevent the onset of Type 2 Daibetes through eating healthy, increasing activity level, and losing 5-7% of the participant's body weight.

This program begins in January of 2019 and concludes in January of 2020. The class will meet a minimum of 23 times over the course of the year.

There will be a $200 charge for the year-long program.
