Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and a call to action. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
On behalf of Avera St. Luke’s Trauma team and the Aberdeen Fire and Rescue, we would like to offer a “Stop the Bleed” – ASL Trauma course for the community and region.
Similar to how you learn and perform CPR, it is also important to know proper bleeding control techniques, including how to use hands, dressings and tourniquets.
There is no cost for the class; however donations to the Foundation will go towards providing more supplies for our Trauma Kits in area schools and businesses.
