Tweens aged 10-13 years learn the Basics of Babysitting in this one day class. Participants must be at least 10 on the day of the class.
Topics will include:
Babysitting 101
Child Development
Important Milestones
Effective Communication
Homemade Toys & Games
Informative First Aid & CPR
Safety Protocols: Including Safe Sleep Practices, Shaken Baby, Weather, and 911 Emergencies
Avera’s experienced Family Life Educators will be demonstrating easy to make snacks and small food items during the class.
Due to food allergies, a list of ingredients that will be used on training day will be provided to any registrant that requests them. Please inform the instructor if your child has any food allergies.
Time will be provided for lunch, participants must bring a sack lunch and water bottles to class *water only please.
Each participant will receive a certificate of achievement for participating in the one day class.
This is a non-refundable class unless cancelled by the Family Life Education Coordinator.
