Healthy Start Childbirth education is designed to prepare you for labor, birth, transitions to parenthood, baby care skills, and breastfeeding. This series covers information on labor and delivery, comfort measures and breathing techniques, and pain relief options; as well as caring for Mom & new baby after birth, and breastfeeding. A tour of the Women's Center is included and will be integrated with one of the classes. Registration for this course is for mom and her support person, this is a free class funded by the Healthy Start grant.

The first night of class will cover the end of pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum period. Night two will cover newborn cares and breastfeeding. This class also includes a tour of the Women's Center!
We encourage participants to bring food to enjoy during the class! Light refreshments will be provided.
