This class helps big brothers and sisters prepare for the arrival of a new baby. Parents are required to attend this class with their children. The children will hear all about new babies, get a chance to diaper and feed a doll, hear what it will be like at home with a new baby and get a tour of the place where Mommy will be when the baby is born. This class is best suited for children 2-10 years of age.
The class will be held in the Pediatric Conference room on the 3rd floor of Avera McKennan Hospital. Take the main elevators to 3rd floor and the classroom is just to the left. Each child should bring a photo of themselves as well as a doll or teddy bear to use for practice.
If you have questions about the class or payment please call the Childbirth Education Coordinator at 605-322-4481 or email childbirtheducators@avera.org
Please bring a picture of the big brother or sister and a doll or teddy bear to "practice" on!
