Description

Avera Cooks provide nutrition education classes and food prep demonstrations to those throughout the Aberdeen area. Held at the Avera Kitchen inside of the K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library, the classes can include live demos to show how to prepare healthy, tasty dishes with information on nutrition.

Join Pat Kappas,MS, RDN,LN,  Director of Nutrition and Diabetes Services at Avera St. Luke's and St. Mary's Hospitals to learn about how foods that are rich in calcium, vitamin D and other nutrients that are important for your bone health and overall health will help you make healthier food choices every day.

Participants will be making their own healthy vinaigrette to take home after the demonstration.
