Safe In-Person Care During COVID-19

Avera’s commitment to your safety and health is stronger than ever. We’re evolving our already high standards of safety to meet your needs during COVID-19. These new policies allow us to expand in-person visits and reschedule planned surgeries and procedures. We also continue to do virtual visits.

Our procedures include:

  • All staff wearing masks
  • Following social distancing guidelines
  • Requiring everyone entering our facilities wear masks
  • Limiting patient visitors and support people in clinics and hospitals

Avera prides itself on offering quality care. We received recognition for this commitment as one of the Watson 15 Top Health Systems of 2019.

Everyone on the team was just doing everything in their power to make the experience as normal as possible. And there was a lot of reassurance about all the precautions that they were taking.
