About Me

Pediatric cardiologists help parents and their primary care providers effectively manage the child’s heart health. Aaron Clem, MD, diagnoses and treats heart conditions in newborns to age 18 at Avera Medical Group Pediatric Specialists Sioux Falls. He also provides fetal cardiac care.

Expert Care in Pediatric Cardiology

Your pediatrician or family medicine provider will refer your child to pediatric cardiology when there’s a concern, which could occur even before baby is born.

Some of the conditions Dr. Clem expertly cares for include:

  • All forms of congenital heart disease – e.g. "holes in the heart", valve disease, single ventricle defects
  • Heart murmur
  • Chest pain
  • Palpitations/arrhythmias

“We have innovative and minimally invasive ways to treat children,” said Dr. Clem. “I especially want to help guide expecting parents through pregnancy so that everything goes as smoothly as possible when baby is born."

Active Lifestyle

Dr. Clem enjoys spending time with his family. In addition, he leads an active — and artistic — lifestyle. You might find him waterskiing, wakeboarding, hiking, or playing the drums.
