Adam Bledsoe, MD, is a general gastroenterologist with Avera Medical Group Gastroenterology. He treats conditions of the digestive system, and performs endoscopic procedures including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.
Dr. Bledsoe grew up in Aberdeen, SD, before pursuing undergraduate education and medical school at the University of South Dakota. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Dr. Bledsoe treats conditions of the GI tract including acid reflux (GERD), stomach ulcers, and irritable bowel syndrome. He has special interest in the interplay between the immune system and digestive tract managing illnesses like Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, microscopic colitis, and eosinophilic esophagitis. He also performs screening colonoscopies.
Helping patients who face these conditions is his passion and what led him to a medical career that focuses on patients first, along with providing top-quality care in all phases of diagnosis and treatment.

When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Bledsoe enjoys running, tennis and cycling. He is an avid cook and enjoys travel and reading.
