Treating Patients with Patience

“What I enjoy about being a doctor is the patient relationships you develop,” said Dr. Larson. “These relationships can last years to a lifetime, so it’s a rewarding part of the job.”

He understands a complex diagnosis can cause feelings of uncertainty, fear and helplessness. To instill a sense of hope and confidence, Dr. Larson educates each patient on their condition and course of treatment. He also believes in the importance of sitting with patients and allowing them to ask questions and air their concerns.

“One of the best ways people process something is by talking; expressing themselves,” he said. “I’m honored I can be there for them when they’re in that vulnerable place.”

Active Lifestyle

When he’s not working, Dr. Larson enjoys spending time with his family and investing his heart into their activities and goals. As for personal interests, you might find him outdoors either hunting, fishing or boating.
