About Me

Growing up in the Platte community, a young Benjamin Meyerink, MD, took note of the excellent care provided by the local Avera physician. His attentive and expert care toward Benjamin and his entire family inspired him to become a physician — the first in his family.

“Being a physician is more than a job or an occupation; it’s a calling,” he said. Today, Dr. Meyerink delivers compassionate care in family medicine at Avera Medical Group 69th & Cliff in Sioux Falls, SD.

Family medicine providers help people of all ages who are facing a variety of personal health needs and concerns. Their comprehensive services include, but are not limited to:

The doctor and nurse explained what my wound was and showed me how to take care of the wound. I was instructed to use medication and when to change the bandages. The wound is healing nicely. The pain is subsiding daily.

Always listens intently and makes sure to involve me during my visit. I have nothing but good to say about Dr. Meyerink. He is the best. His past suggestion to do a sleep study resulted in CPAP usage which has dramatically improved lab reports. Thank you for being the only medical doctor to suggest this potentially life-saving treatment.

I LOVE Dr Meyerink. He listens and cares about how you feel about taking meds etc. He is very knowledgeable and gives you multiple options. He's not pushy and respects your decision if you're not interested in certain options and looks for other ways to help.
