Benjamin Solomon, MD, is a medical oncologist who is part of Avera’s comprehensive team that offers compassionate cancer care in Sioux Falls and throughout the region. He has served at Avera Medical Group Oncology & Hematology in Sioux Falls, SD, since 2013.
“During training, I found that I related to patients with cancer on a deeper level,” said Dr. Solomon. “I chose to specialize in oncology since the field lends itself to growth of a special relationship between the doctor, patient and the family.”

Research Endeavors in Clinical Trials
Dr. Solomon is a leader within the clinical research program at Avera. He is the site contact principal investigator for NCI National Clinical Trials Network at Avera, and is the site principal investigator for numerous Lung and Head/Neck Cancer trials.
Active Lifestyle
Dr. Solomon and his wife have four children, so they’re busy with multiple events including sports and performing arts events. For personal interests, Dr. Solomon likes to stay fit. He enjoys cycling, especially mountain biking, and lifting weights.
