Dr. Kampmann has a special interest in treating shoulder and knee issues, including rotator cuff repairs and total joint replacement. He also has experience in arthroscopy, which allows him to diagnose and treat joint issues with a small incision for faster recoveries.
His interest in medicine began in grade school when he and his uncle were in a motorcycle accident and were taken to the emergency room. “I’ve always had an interest in how things work and I love working with my hands, so surgery just fit really well with that.”
“Each patient is different,” he said. Some patients have researched their condition and already know what they want to do about it. Other patients need more information about what their specific diagnosis means for them. “I spend time with patients, going over their diagnosis and options. Together, we find a solution and develop a plan of care.”
Dr. Kampmann spends much of his extra time with his wife and two kids. He also enjoys biking and running, and recently ran his first marathon.
