Bruce Larkin, MD, grew up in a family in which helping others was a strong value. This led him to get a master’s in public health; he took this expertise to Africa, where he helped train nurses to give exceptional care to local patients.
However, he wanted to care for his own patients face-to-face. This inspired him to go back to school and pursue his calling of becoming a physicians trained in family medicine and obstetrics.
Dr. Larkin cares for people in western Minnesota at Access Health & Avera Medical Group in Windom, MN.
“I’m proud to work for Avera, which strives to serve all people,” he said. “They’re a health entity that reaches out into communities and cares for the underserved.”
