When she was a young girl, Carrie Carlson, DO, greatly admired her aunt.

“She was a doctor and my hero,” said Dr. Carlson. “I wanted to be just like her — an amazing healer who was connected with her patients.”

Today, trust the compassionate care offered by Dr. Carlson, a family medicine expert who focuses on adult health at Avera Medical Group McGreevy Family Medicine — 7th Ave in Sioux Falls, SD.

Expert Care in Family Medicine

Dr. Carlson cares for the wide spectrum of health concerns in patients ages 18 and up. Some of the unique conditions she treats include fibromyalgia, IBS, chronic fatigue syndrome and treating veterans with Gulf War illness.

Some of the many services she provides include immunizations, routine checkups, management of chronic diseases and keeping you informed of recommended preventive screenings.

“I like helping people take charge of their health,” she said. “As I continue to learn new ways we can treat conditions, my patients can feel more confident in the health decisions they make in and outside of the doctor’s office.”
