As a dermatologist, Dr. Jansen focuses heavily on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers. Common skin cancers include melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma.
One skin cancer treatment Dr. Jansen is highly skilled in is Mohs surgery. This surgery removes the skin cancer while preserving the surrounding unaffected skin.
It is an awake surgery, and Dr. Jansen wants you to feel comfortable during the procedure. During procedures, she enjoys having conversations and getting to know you. However, if relaxing and being silent helps you feel at ease, she wants to help create that peaceful atmosphere.

Active Lifestyle
When Dr. Jansen was in South Carolina for her training, she and her husband became avid golfers. That continues today! They also enjoy spending time with their family, watching sports and hiking.
