Dr. Christine Wiarda brings years of experience in podiatry to Avera Medical Group Podiatry Yankton, and she provides comprehensive care for health conditions or injuries that affect the feet and ankles.

As a podiatrist, Dr. Wiarda understands how seemingly small injuries in your feet or ankles can have a big impact on your quality of life. From bunions and hammer toes to arthritis and injuries, pain in your feet or ankles can make work harder and make it almost impossible to enjoy pastimes and active hobbies. She also can help you make decisions on orthotic devices that help many patients.

With her help, patients of any age can get moving more easily, with less discomfort. She provides diabetic foot care, treats sports injuries and can provide treatment for any condition or problem that might affect your feet and ankles.

When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Wiarda enjoys running, spending time with her family camping and riding horses.

The doctor was very helpful. She asked questions about my foot and gave me suggestions about what to do to help the pain and gave me three stores where I could get good shoes. She was great.
