I have great confidence in Dr. Louwagie. He is always well prepared and well informed about my case, and although his focus is on eye health, he is alert to general health issues and the way they may impact eye health. He is intelligent, meticulous and compassionate, and I always feel reassured after a visit.

Dr Louwagie has been seeing me for 13 years for my glaucoma. The first visit was very memorable as be performed emergency laser surgery on my left eye thereby saving my eyesight. I will never forget that. He's awesome in my book.

I appreciate the excellent care from Avera SW Ophthalmology and Dr. Louwagie and the entire care team. Having had 3 retinal surgeries plus cataracts done for both eyes, I depend on them for my 6-month eye health checks. Everyone is very engaged, helpful and caring. I appreciate the doctor's willingness to listen to the patient and then to recognize concerns and provide sound medical advice. I have recommended the practice to others.
