As a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician, Dr. Franco is part of a multidisciplinary team at Avera – focused on helping you achieve the highest level of function, independence and quality of life possible.

Dr. Franco evaluates, diagnoses and treats a variety of conditions and injuries, such as musculoskeletal injury, sports injury, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, back, neck and joint pain, spasticity, nerve disorders and more.

You can also count on him for specialized services, including:

  • Ultrasound-guided procedures, such as joint injections and nerve blocks
  • Electrodiagnostic studies, such as nerve conduction studies and electromyography (EMG)
  • Botulinum toxin injections

“I hope that my patients get a sense of how much I enjoy helping them and want to see them succeed in achieving their rehab goals,” he says. “Nothing brings me more joy than hearing that they are functioning better and getting more out of their day-to-day lives.”

Active Lifestyle

In his free time, Dr. Franco enjoys spending time with his family and dog, running, biking, camping, hiking, skiing and cooking. As a big music fan, he also enjoys attending concerts and expanding his vinyl record collection.
