Pulmonary and sleep medicine is a branch of medicine that focuses on caring for complicated conditions of respiratory system — the nose, throat and lungs — that affect your daily life, and especially your quality of sleep.

Kaitlin Branick, MD, is a board-certified expert at Avera Medical Group Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine in Sioux Falls, SD, which is also her home city. She was inspired to follow a health career in pulmonary and ICU after a family member encountered their own lung condition.

“I felt called into my career,” said Dr. Branick. “My goal is to help people understand their disease and work together to help them breathe better and feel more comfortable.”
