About Me

A cancer diagnosis can be scary and overwhelming. Cancer treatment, including chemotherapy, surgeries and radiation therapy, may seem like an arduous road. Kyle Arneson, MD, PhD, knows the fears and challenges his patients face when a cancer diagnosis happens—and radiation therapy is prescribed. He’s proud to provide expert patient care with advanced radiation technologies to support cancer treatment.

Dr. Arneson, a board-certified radiation oncologist at Avera Medical Group Radiation Oncology in Sioux Falls, SD, offers advanced radiation therapy treatment options, including:

Walking hand-in-hand with cancer patients, Dr. Arneson strives to educate both patients and families with available radiation treatments, weighing risks and benefits together. He works with your oncology team to ensure the most effective radiation options are performed for your cancer and personal needs.

Dr. Arneson is active in research trials involving InterOperative Radiation Therapy (IORT) for early stage breast cancer. He has been published in multiple oncology journals, presents at oncology conferences and holds an assistant professorship at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine.

Active Lifestyle

In his free time, Dr. Arneson is an active outdoorsman—enjoying watching and participating in sports like hockey, softball and curling. He can also be found hunting, fishing, grilling and helping with home construction projects. He’s married to a fellow doctor, who specializes in palliative care and neurology. They have three children, including twins.
