Growing up on a dairy farm near Wall, SD, Dr. Prestbo had an interest in science and interpersonal communication from a young age. Her mother and grandmother were both nurses as well, so she was exposed to what they were doing in their careers day-to-day and wanted to be a part of it.
She chose family medicine because she enjoys providing services and treating patients at every stage of their lives.

While Dr. Prestbo treats patients of all ages, she also operates a bone health clinic within her Avera practice that provides patients with a close look at bone health and fracture prevention.
In the long run, Dr. Prestbo hopes her patients say that she always has their best interests in mind.
Active Lifestyle
Outside of work, Dr. Prestbo loves to travel and work on home improvement projects with her husband. She enjoys knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking and woodworking. In the summer, she and her husband like going to the lake with their miniature dachshunds.
