About Me

Nephi Jones, DPM, has served as a police officer and a paramedic. Ready for the next step in life, Dr. Jones decided pursuing medicine was a worthwhile choice.

As a paramedic, he encountered many foot and ankle situations, and met several podiatrists as well. These experiences solidified the specialty he wanted to practice.

Today, Dr. Jones serves as a podiatric surgeon at Avera Medical Group Specialty Care in Brookings, SD.

Dr. Jones offers both surgical and nonsurgical solutions for a variety of conditions related to the foot, ankle and lower leg, including:

Through active listening, Dr. Jones uses the valuable input he gathers to create a plan of effective options. Together, he and the patient are then able to arrive at a treatment plan that suits the patient’s needs and lifestyle.

Active Lifestyle

When he is not working, Dr. Jones enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking and fishing.

“If we’re driving and we see a sign for a state park, we just have to stop and explore,” said Dr. Jones.

Always nice to have a DR listen and try hard to understand me as a patient. No medical background so it's sometimes difficult to explain things. Dr Jones was very patient and understanding and explained things in a way I could understand.
