Count on Rachel Sunne, MD, a board-certified family medicine physician at Avera Medical Group Brookings in Brookings, SD, for all of your family’s health care needs.

While Dr. Sunne provides primary care for all ages, she has a special interest in:

When it comes to preventive medicine, Dr. Sunne encourages patients to prevent diseases through their health and lifestyle. She also helps them stay on schedule with routine screenings and vaccinations.

A Family-Centered Lifestyle

Dr. Sunne says her biggest hobby is spending time with her husband and three daughters. She also enjoys traveling, running, spending time outdoors and attending sporting events.

Dr. Sunne heard all our concerns and questions about surgery and some differing opinions we had received from surgeons, she took the time to call the surgeon get more information and help us translate it all into English! We left feeling confident in our other forward! Confident in the surgeon we choose and with greater understanding of what was coming our way. She was absolutely amazing!!! We would probably still be waiting on surgery or going back and forth to sioux falls instead of a week into healing already if it hadn't been for her help!

Dr Sunne always listens to me and gives good advice. This time she arranged to move up my mammogram so I did not have to go home and come back. Se also followed up with others regarding an issue that I raised.
