After interventional treatment with minimally invasive methods to treat disorders of blood vessels involving the head, neck or spine, Dr. Reshi supports post-surgery neurocritical care recovery. He supports critical care patients who’ve experienced neurological conditions such as strokes, seizures, brain cancer, encephalopathy, Guillain Barre syndrome, and more.
His techniques include:
- External ventricular drain placement
- Intracranial monitoring systems
- Endotracheal intubation and advanced airway management
- Ventilator management techniques
- Ultrasound guided central venous access
- Arterial line placement
Honesty is the best policy. I meet patients where they are and make sure they are fully informed, both them and their families.
Helping Educate Others & Motivated by Compassion
Dr. Reshi has been published in peer-reviewed publications, has helped in curriculum development, and has been a clinical instructor at the university level. He has also conducted research on acute ischemic strokes, studying how sugar levels affect stroke recovery and how late clot removal can be in a successful stroke recovery.
After losing a family member to a stroke, he decided to become a neurointensivist. He says, “The best part of my job is helping patients and families, and keeping families informed on next steps of care.”
Active Lifestyle
Dr. Reshi loves being outdoors when he’s not at work in the neurocritical care unit. His favorite pastimes include fishing, hunting and sporting activities. He also loves spending time with his family. He is originally from India.
