About Me

In college, Scott McPherson, MD, was considering career options. A roommate pursuing medicine gave Dr. McPherson an idea he couldn’t shake. During medical school rotations, he came across orthopedic hand surgery.

“I loved it at first sight,” said Dr. McPherson.

Today, Dr. McPherson is an orthopedic surgeon at Avera Orthopedics in Sioux Falls, SD. He specializes in the care and treatment of conditions and injuries related to the hand, wrist and elbow.

“I am fortunate that I love what I do,” he said. “I love caring for patients, the field is fun and interesting, and I’m surrounded by supportive staff.”
