It is frustrating having important medical tests performed and when done you are told that you will be contacted with the results. When you are contacted, it is by a nurse, not the doctor. You then get a full report available on Avera Chart that requires a person with a medical education to understand! It would be nice once the results of your tests were available you could get the doctor to explain the results and outcomes! Doctors keep recommending the tests and procedures but they are not then available to explain the results. You basically get told by the nurse to come back in a year or whatever. Not sure I am very willing to come back!!! Thank you!

Yes, I liked them very much. The kept me informed, made it sound like they really know what they're doing cause (INAUDIBLE) e. coli or whatever, I forget names and numbers, but what I'm going in for Wednesday, and we went over (INAUDIBLE) or whatever, then why they're doing this and that, and there's two ladies that took my blood pressure, and the nurse was writing it down. So, yes, I liked it very much. Kept me well informed (INAUDIBLE).

We all make mistakes but I waited over an hour for my 1st scheduled test. My avera chart was the same from the day I made the appointment through day of appointment. Even my welcome letter had same times on it. My final test was even over 20 past scheduled times. I was very disappointed with this experience especially after hearing tons of great reviews. But on the other side of the coin I really felt like they cared and listened to me and took the time to get to know me. I am switching from elsewhere to avera as I feel it is the better choice for me and my situation. I do hope that it continues to be about patient care and not how many people can we push through in a day. I actually felt like a person and not a number.

I so look forward to Dr Waterbury reviewing my heart records from double bypass in 2018 to current tests to try to find out why I am blacking out with no notice if it is my heart causing this! Never had this happen before but I liked him a lot!

Yes, not just the doctor, everybody that I talked to there, the nurse... two different nurses. The people in the scanning area, the receptionist. Everybody was extremely professional. Very, very pleased with my experience. This was my first experience and went very well, very timely on everything. It was great. Thanks.

We understood our appointment was at 2 and we were to come a half hour early when it turned out our appointment was at 2:30 and the 2 o'clock was so we'd be there half hour early. So we set a long time waiting for our appointment, and when we received the phone call, it did not tell us a time of our appointment and also it did not tell us that we would not be able to have our daughter and her husband with us for the appointment, but when we get there, there's just one allowed. Goodbye.

The care was phenomenal. The only thing I would suggest is that after everything is done, I could have spoken to the doctor instead of the nurse for results. There were questions that came up, and I would have liked to have been able to ask the doctor. Thank you.

Yeah, I went in for my prescriptions today and we can't afford going on $500 a month the Eliquis, I think we were very, very (INAUDIBLE). The whole place is very, very likable. Very, very helpful. Very kind. And so, we're definitely going to get a hold of them to see if we get a find a cheaper drugs because we can't pay the 5 something a month. So I think my wife's going to try to email this company, so Yeah, in the next couple days a week whenever it works out for us. Thanks a lot for everything.

All of the people involved were professional, friendly, and efficient. First big appointment that has been finished before 'twas scheduled to start. I do realize the prior one was cancelled. Bad part was I could not see all the smiles. Great overall experience.

Dr. Waterbury was very concerned with my heart health. He explained to me what I wanted to know. I am thankful Dr. Waterbury is my cardiologist and I feel reassured if and when I have heart issues, he will take care of me. Yes, I really thought that the experience was very good. I thought they did well for me, but I didn't get any information back. I thought maybe I'd get a call today or even yesterday... late last night, or something. About the information that they were able to obtain for me. And what I needed to do, to help myself out here with my pain that I had. So thank you.

The only things that frustrated me were filling out all the paperwork ahead of time and having to do it all over again when I arrived. Also was supposed to have a test prior to seeing the Dr. but evidently notes weren't entered correctly from previous visit so they wouldn't schedule prior to seeing Dr.

My original apt was for 830. They called the day before to reschedule me to 3pm. Because it was too late in the day to the stress test I now have to go back next week. Should have rescheduled me for another am appointment in the am so I dont have to drive 4 hours again. Very frustrating as I live alone and have to find someone to watch my dogs when I travel to Sioux Falls.

Our experience there was excellent. I couldn't ask for any better from the, the doctor to the nurses to the other complete staff. Both my husband, and I said how helpful they were all kind they were and how they were just there to help everyone. So, it was an excellent experience and just very pleased to have been there. Not that. I like to be there for health reasons, but if you have to be there, it was a great experience, so I am very appreciative of each one of them. They did a wonderful job. Thank you very much. Dr. excuse me Dr. Waterbury was very, very professional, and he was very caring to the patient and he listened and he never tried to be in a hurry. He Dr. Waterbury ask questions to the patient. The patient would, you know, maybe could hear him maybe not but Dr. Waterbury would lift his voice for the patient so could hear him. And then the patient ask for some directions of things, and he was most willing to to help. So, I don't know if I've ever come across a doctor as good as Dr. Waterbury. although I was in the clinic for over 3 hours I didn't have to wait for hardly anything... I did have to wait 35 minutes for the Dr. to come and do my stress test.. which lasted 7 minutes.. other wise I was very pleased.

I thought my experience was exceptional. I was in and out, the people were knowledgeable, even rate them coming in, and the first person at the guest desk, offering to assist and then getting checked in, and the nurses, the doctor, the experience, as well, and they were respectful, knowledgeable, and felt like they were caring and understanding. I walked out of there feeling very comfortable with my experience, and felt like they had done exactly what I needed them to do.

Well, I think they did an excellent job. They were very respectful and they thought about my condition and they seem. They manage to cure it or make it better. And that's, as far as I know, he's there next level. That's an excellent hospital and I recommend it to all my friends.

The clinical care from, all the way from the patient care tech, to the nurse. There was a CNT, and the cardiologist was absolutely excellent. The only thing that I would just give a suggestion. It's not a complaint, but I have a suggestion to really lean out your process. Like I had to talk to three different people to get checked in. I thought that was a little interesting. I actually am a patient access director, and I just kind of shook my head a little bit at the amount of resources used to check people in, and then they asked the same questions over that, you know, you've recently completed. So anyway, that's my only suggestion, it's not a complaint. It is just a suggestion. I think that everything at the Heart Hospital is excellent, and we'll just look at leaning that front process out a little bit. Thanks. Bye.

Dr. Waterbury was very much on time. He was quite thorough in his explanation of my situation and he provided a good plan for treating me in the future. His nurse worked with me closely to get an appointment here in Spirit Lake to get my my what do you call it echo cardiogram my cardiogram whatever you call it the next scan that they were going to do. I'm just a little disappointed that I didn't get the results of my scans. I understand, I wouldn't get them the first day. But they told me I would get them the next day and I still haven't seen the results.

Each time I have a dr appointment I am asked to bring all my medications and no one has ever asked to look to at them . It is a real hassle carrying them around . Why have this requirement? Thank you!
