It wasn’t until after being hit by a car while riding his bike that Dr. Zimprich – then in his mid-20s – decided he wanted to leave his career in the oil industry to pursue a career in health care. “I was intrigued by a nerve test that the neurologist performed on me and I knew I wanted to become a neurologist,” he recalls.

Today Dr. Zimprich says that his favorite part of being a neurologist is using advanced testing such as electromyography (EMG) and neuro-diagnostics to identify what is causing a problem for patients. “I like learning more about my patients and solving problems for them” he adds.

In addition to testing, Dr. Zimprich has expertise in treating neuromuscular diseases such as neuropathy, myopathy and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Active Lifestyle

In his free time, Dr. Zimprich enjoys spending time with his family and reading. He also continues to ride his bike nearly every day throughout the year.

Dr. Zimprich talked to my dad and then asked me, other providers have talked to me like my dad was not even in the room. I appreciated his kindness, patience and thoroughness. We were happy to have a plan after our visit.
