Compassionate Care for Mental Health
He understands the value of therapy from not only a professional, but also a personal level. “I’ve gone through my own struggles and have benefitted from therapy,” he says. “I know how healing it is to be vulnerable and still feel accepted and valued. I want to do that for others.”
For Sorensen, the best part of his job is being invited into the world of his clients and having the opportunity to be part of their journey. “I love the moments when I see a flicker of joy, hope or a hearty laugh. I’m inspired as I watch them break free and become more of themselves.”
In his free time, Sorensen enjoys spending time with his family, especially playing board games and video games. Sorensen has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and also enjoys biking, rollerblading, ice skating, being outdoors in nature, fixing cars, playing pool, playing guitar and singing karaoke.
