Visiting Hours for General Care Access

In most cases, visiting hours are flexible based on the patient’s wishes. Support, well wishes and encouragement from visitors are important to patients.

  • We recommend limiting visitors to two at a time.
  • Minors and dependent adults must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • Visitors may be limited by the care team depending on the patient’s condition.
  • To protect the health of patients, those who have a cold, fever or other contagious condition are asked not to visit.
  • Avera staff are committed to providing a healing and safe environment for all.

Behavior Expectations

For your safety and ours, aggressive and threatening behavior will not be tolerated. This includes:

  • Physical assault
  • Verbal harassment
  • Abusive language
  • Sexual language
  • Threats of any kind
  • Failure to follow staff instructions
  • Possession or use of alcohol, drugs or weapons

  • Enjoy a meal or snack using our dining options. Visit the Courtyard Café for breakfast or lunch, Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM, or get beverages and snacks 24/7 from vending machines.
