Health Care Demand Continues to Grow in Sioux Falls

Population in the Sioux Falls metropolitan service area by 2025 is projected to reach 321,000 – growth of approximately 54,000 people between now and then.

And by 2025, well over one third of our area’s population will be age 45 or older. The demand for specialties such as orthopedics and gastroenterology is higher among an aging population.

In addition to our growing community, Avera facilities in Sioux Falls serve a much wider area of 86 counties and 72,000 square miles across five states, especially for specialty care that cannot be delivered through outreach or telemedicine.

With the Avera on Louise Health Campus, we’re prepared to meet the future health care needs of our communities.
