Classes & Events
Experienced hospital staff educate expectant mothers and their coaches about the delivery process. Attendance during the fifth to eighth months of pregnancy is recommended.
Labor Review classes are designed for those who have previously completed Childbirth Education classes. Topics include the labor and delivery process, including relaxation techniques such as breathing and positioning.
Certified breastfeeding educators provide a two-hour session on the basics of breastfeeding.

Immunizations are provided by Dickinson County Public Health at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake each Tuesday from 8:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. and each Thursday from 2:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. Call 712-336-2682 to make an appointment.
Blood Pressure Clinics
A blood pressure clinic is provided free of charge by Dickinson County Public Health at Spirit Lake Dinner Date on the first Friday of every month from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
