Original Collections
The Avera McKennan campus, Avera Behavioral Health Center, Prairie Center and Dougherty Hospice House display original art collections and outdoor sculptures. Many works, including those by local and regional artists, reflect our home on the Northern Plains and Avera's healing ministry.
Music as Medicine
Avera hosts the South Dakota Symphony's Music as Medicine program, which helps create a positive, healing environment for patients, their families and visitors.
The Arts in Healing
Art and music therapy benefits cancer and behavioral health patients, as well as residents at Avera Prince of Peace and Dougherty Hospice House.
