- Most medical insurance plans cover all or part of the cost of treatment. Our staff are available to explain costs, insurance benefits and help design a financial plan to meet your needs.
- Medicaid is also accepted.
- We have a contract with the South Dakota Department of Social Services, Division of Behavioral Health, for people meeting those requirements.
Funding must be in place and approved by our center’s staff prior to admission.
Whether you’re a resident at our facility staying overnight or you come for specific daytime sessions, we offer a variety of programs for your needs.
Residential Treatment Program: This includes a weekly minimum of 20 hours of instruction and programming involving individual and group counseling, family sessions, lectures, videos and peer support by attending Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous or Gamblers Anonymous meetings. Treatment varies depending on individual needs and treatment plans.
Day Treatment: Taking place weekdays during the daytime, this program is similar to the residential treatment program; however, it allows patients to live at home and put into practice the skills they learn. Length of program is variable; however, average stay is four weeks. Attendance at all sessions is mandatory.
Medically Monitored Inpatient Treatment Program: This includes a weekly minimum of 30 hours of instruction and programming involving individual and group counseling, family sessions, lectures, videos and peer support. Treatment varies depending on individual needs and treatment plans.
Individual Counseling: Individuals and families can work with a counselor who specializes in addiction care.
Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOPT): In any stage of addiction, this option allows individuals to receive addiction treatment while staying on the job and in their home.
Adult Continuing Care Program: Also known as aftercare, this support group is for adults who have completed any substance abuse and/or gambling treatment program to help guide them in a recovery program.
Alcohol, Drug and Gambling Evaluations: Our center provides addiction assessments, which are used to determine appropriate services, referrals and funding eligibility.
Cognitive-Behavioral Interventions for Substance Abuse Treatment (CBI-SUA): Individuals with a high substance use need can be referred to this program if they are currently in the criminal justice system. This intervention relies on a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to teach participants strategies including social skills, problem solving, emotional regulation, relapse prevention and more. It follows CBISA Advanced Practices (Aftercare).
Intensive Methamphetamine Treatment (IMT): This 16-week program, evidence-based program offers family education, employment opportunities, case management, discharge planning and continuing care. Treatment could include moral reconation therapy (MRT) or matrix model of addiction treatment (MATRIX), which is a treatment model specifically developed for individuals with stimulant use disorders.

Relapse Program: Individuals who have participated in a treatment program but are having difficulty maintaining their sobriety can get help in both the residential and outpatient environments.
Family Program: All levels of care include a family program component. While a loved one is in treatment, family members are strongly encouraged to participate in this program to help support their success. It’s an opportunity to educate family members, establish new communication skills and build healthier relationships.
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT): Used to help treat opioid addiction (such as heroin and prescription pain relievers), this treatment consists of prescribed medication that helps normalize brain chemistry, block the euphoric effects of alcohol and opioids, relieve physiological cravings, and normalize body functions.
Our staff comes from a variety of professions: credentialed addiction professionals, nurses, technicians and support staff. Our treatment team also includes professionals in the areas of spirituality, recreational and occupational therapies, as well as stretching and mindfulness.
