Breast Imaging Services
Breast imaging is important both for annual preventive screenings for women age 40 and older, as well as advanced diagnostic imaging and testing to rule out possible cancer in the case of abnormal mammogram results. A physician referral is required to schedule your mammogram with this breast center.
Mammography Services
Mammograms detect changes in the breast tissue that could indicate early signs of cancer that can be too small to detect on your own. Mammograms are a vital screening tool that can save lives through early detection. Avera offers a breast cancer risk assessment when women come in for their screening mammograms, so they will know if they should be receiving additional screenings or more frequent screenings.
Advanced Diagnostics
In addition to 3D mammography, other advanced diagnostic screenings include:
- Mammography computer-aided detection (CAD)
- Contrast enhanced spectral mammography (CESM)
- Breast ultrasound and biopsy
- Breast MRI
- Mobile 3D mammography
