Our services allow law enforcement, child protection, mental health advocates and prosecutors to work together to assess child abuse allegations. We're committed to ensuring that children are not further victimized by the systems designed to protect them.
We also provide crisis intervention, ongoing victim assistance and referral to effective after-care for alleged victims, including non-offending family members.
After other agencies have been notified as required, law enforcement, child protection and health care providers can refer a child to the Avera Child Assessment Center — Pierre.
