Avera Creighton Hospital Emergency serves residents in and around Creighton, NE. Physicians and staff are available 24/7, and we are equipped with technology for high-quality and safe emergency care.
If a patient requires a hospital stay, our staff will stabilize them for admission to our hospital, which is a Level IV Trauma Center. We can also arrange for transport to higher-level care centers such as Avera Sacred Heart in Yankton and Avera McKennan in Sioux Falls.

Our emergency department was designed with our patients in mind. If you arrive by ambulance, you are unloaded in our ambulance garage before entering the facility. This prevents exposure to the weather and helps protect your privacy. Those not arriving by ambulance have a designated entrance on the east side of the building. Follow the signage and look for the red awning for our emergency services.
Our team will ensure you’re stabilized and cared for in a private area to further preserve your dignity. This flow of patient rooms also allows staff efficiency in serving patients and in team communication.

Same-day lab results and other diagnostic tests are available. Right inside our facility, you have access to a wide range of laboratory services that contribute to accurate diagnoses of medical conditions.
