Finding Us: Women’s Center patients and visitors should use free parking south of the circle drive near State Street. Enter through door 4 on the west side of the building and take the main lobby elevators to the fourth floor. Use the intercom to request access inside the Women’s Center.

To provide you, your newborn and your family with beautiful birthing experience, the Women’s Center offers a specially designed, private and individual room you’ll remain in for labor delivery and recovery — providing convenience and continuity of care. Other amenities and services include:
- Jetted tub, glider rocker, sleeper sofa and fully equipped entertainment center in every room
- Nearby nursery where newborns receive care 24/7 so you can rest
- Central monitoring that monitoring heart rates for you and your baby from the nursing station and remotely by your physician
- Meals delivered right to your room
- Comprehensive, integrated electronic security system
- Social work, nutritional counseling, spiritual care, counseling and financial assistance
Labor & Delivery Options
Our nursing staff will be with you as much or as little as you prefer during the labor experience to offer information and support. You also have access to options including a birthing ball to support a variety of labor positions to increase your comfort. Labor epidurals are also available.
When a healthy delivery requires a Cesarean section, we have an on-floor surgical suite. If your delivery requires urgency, your care team may also use our dedicated, private elevator to take you directly to our hospital surgery center for a C-section. You’ll also benefit from our First Touch program, which allows you to bond with your newborn immediately after the C-section.
Level II Nursery
At Avera St. Luke’s, our Level II Nursery is equipped with the latest technology, including:
- Monitors for oxygen, vital signs and nearly every system of your newborn’s body
- Warmers, isolettes and bili lights to keep your newborn warm and comfortable
- Remote monitoring and 24/7 nursing support with eNICU with more advanced specialists if needed
- Support equipment such as ventilators to stabilize your newborn if a transport to our Level IIIB NICU in Sioux Falls is needed

If you or your child need extra attention for medical reasons, you have seamless access to the Avera Children’s Hospital, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Maternal Fetal Medicine in Sioux Falls. Avera offers individualized care including:

Lactation & Breastfeeding Support
