Finding Us: This women’s center is located inside Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital on North 2nd Street just a few blocks east of US Hwy 281. Use the main south entrance by East Benton Street. Convenient parking is available in lots on the south and west sides of the building.

Here, board-certified obstetrics providers care for you to bring new life into the world with safety and joy. Specially trained registered nurses with vast experience in obstetrics ensure you and your newborn begin your family journey with the support you need.

When you choose this location for the labor and delivery of your baby, our staff will get you set up in one of our private rooms in a family-friendly setting to help you relax and remain calm during this special time.

To provide you, your newborn and your family with a beautiful birthing experience, the Women’s Center offers a variety of family-friendly amenities, including:

  • State-of-the-art labor and delivery rooms
  • Room with private bathroom and HDTV
  • Storage cabinet with space for your belongings
  • Recliner for your support person
  • Protected nursery

Lactation & Breastfeeding Support

Complimentary breastfeeding and lactation services are available. Breastfeeding classes are offered every other month, and we offer a breastfeeding clinic every Wednesday from 9 AM – 1 PM. Board-certified lactation consultants help answer questions and support you with expertise and encouragement. Talk to your provider to register, or call 402-336-5122.

Prenatal Classes

We offer prenatal classes for parents every other month to help prepare for your baby's arrival. Talk to your provider for more information and to register, or call 402-336-5122.

Laboratory

Same-day lab results and other diagnostic tests are available to you too. Right inside our facility, you have access to a wide range of laboratory services that contribute to accurate diagnoses of medical conditions. Expert specialists conduct safe and reliable lab testing, helping you and your provider get the results you need to start an effective and personalized treatment plan.

Upon arrival to the Women’s Center, you’ll receive care in one of our state-of-the-art labor and delivery rooms. You will remain in this room until after the birth of your baby.

Our rooms feature an HDTV, private bathroom, a storage cabinet with plenty of space for your belongings, and a recliner for your support person.

During their stay, your infant will rest in one of our bassinets, which are also used to transport infants to and from the nursery. For safety and security reasons, infants are never carried in the hallways.
