Finding Us: This clinic is located on the Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center campus near 21st Street and Cliff Avenue. Due to on-campus construction and some road and parking lot closures, we recommend you allow extra time to get to your destination. Patients visiting clinics in Plaza 1 can use the surface parking lot adjacent to the building or use the valet service at the entrance. For additional parking, it’s best to access the free ramps via 20th Street, go to street level, and take outdoor sidewalks south to Plaza 1 (10th Avenue sidewalk to the east of the construction site). Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

To help address non-healing diabetic skin conditions or sores, you may receive a prescription for hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). The wound care clinic on the Avera McKennan campus offers a hyperbaric oxygen chamber.

During this process, you’ll be pressurized with oxygen inside a comfortable and spacious hyperbaric oxygen chamber. While in the chamber, you breathe 100% oxygen at pressures two to three times atmospheric pressure, which stimulates the body's natural healing response.

Burn Services

Including our wound care services, you may receive burn care from experts in emergency surgery, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, skin care and reconstructive procedures. We treat burns from a variety of sources, including:

  • Steam, hot-liquid scalding, and flammable liquids and gases
  • Fires and inhalation injury from breathing smoke
  • Frostbite and hypothermia

Laboratory

Right inside our facility, you have access to a wide range of laboratory services that contribute to accurate diagnoses of medical conditions. Expert specialists conduct safe and reliable lab testing, helping you and your provider get the results you need to start an effective and personalized treatment plan.

Pharmacy Express Pickup

Convenient, express pickup is an option with Avera Pharmacy on campus for the public, discharged patients and employees, located inside main skywalk near hospital entrance. Contact the pharmacy directly to transfer your prescription.

Radiology & Imaging

We offer innovative imaging technology, including MRI, X-rays and ultrasound, which are available for clinical staff to order for patients making scheduled visits. We also offer DEXA scans and ultrasounds at this location. Experts conduct comfortable and quick imaging, so you receive accurate diagnosis which will determine the right treatment for your health.
