Schedule a Physician Appointment

Call our scheduling receptionist at 605-337-3364 to arrange a physician appointment. Tell us the reason for your visit so we can set up the right span of time. Once you schedule an appointment, plan to arrive 15 minutes early.

We offer many outreach specialty services, with visiting physicians in the specialties of cardiology; ear, nose and throat; family medicine/OB; nephrology; OB/GYN; oncology; ophthalmology; orthopedics; podiatry; radiology; and surgery.   • All co-payments are due and payable at the time of service.
  • If you receive care for a work related injury, notify the receptionist when you arrive for your appointment.


Help us submit your claims to your insurance company, Medicare or Medicaid by giving our business office accurate insurance policy information. You’re also responsible for negotiating with your insurance carrier.

  • All Platte Health Center Avera providers participate in Medicare and Medicaid.
  • If you’re without insurance, ask us about payment plans or view our financial assistance policy, summary and application to help you cover the cost of care.

Platte Health Center Avera was established in 1949 by the Platte community, after a group of concerned individuals raised funds to purchase a former house and convert it to a hospital. An affiliate of Avera since 1998, Platte Health Center is managed by Avera Queen of Peace.
