Prescriptions & Pharmacy

Patients and Avera Pharmacy customers can use Avera MyChart to view and manage their medications. On May 30, Avera moved to a new electronic health record with Epic, and your medication information is transferring to MyChart. Please note that all medications will be verified by our staff closer to your next appointment.

Important: For urgent refills, it’s recommended that you call your local pharmacy or doctor’s office directly.

Medication Management

MyChart gives you comprehensive, real-time access to your medication information, enabling you to view current medications, dosages and instructions.

Avera Pharmacy

Avera Pharmacy discontinued use of the AveraRX app effective May 30. All pharmacy patients using our retail, mail order and specialty pharmacy services should use MyChart.

Avera Pharmacy in MyChart

Avera’s various pharmacy services are considered “connected pharmacies” with Avera MyChart. That means you can use the same Avera MyChart web experience or app to manage your care plus your prescriptions, refills, payments and much more. See details below on how you can conveniently use MyChart for your pharmacy needs.

Managing Medications

Many times, you’ll be asked to confirm your medications and pharmacies within MyChart when you receive a notification to pre-register before an appointment. You may also encounter this during your appointment, emergency room visit, acute care visit or hospital stay. At any time, you can also manage your medications and pharmacies in MyChart in other ways.
