Avera Medical Group Opens New Clinic at 69th and Cliff
Avera Medical Group 69th and Cliff is home to 12 providers in the medical specialties of family practice, pediatrics and OB/GYN. The facility is an Avera Breast Center site for screening mammography, and on-site X-ray and lab are available.
Avera also announces plans to integrate behavioral health services with primary care at this location. Primary care providers are often the first to note symptoms signaling a behavioral health disorder, such as addiction, depression or anxiety. This site will employ a master’s level counselor with dual accreditation in chemical dependency and behavioral health, who will provide screening as well as counseling and referrals when needed. In addition, behavioral health specialists will be rotating in for pediatric care.
Family practice physicians formerly located at the Avera Medical Group McGreevy Southeastern location, adjacent to the Avera McKennan Fitness Center, have moved to the 69th and Cliff location, including Mark Rodig, MD; Angela Meyer, MD; and Courtney Moose, MD. Joining them will be two new physicians, Mark List, MD; and Ashley VanDyke, DO.
Two pediatricians who were formerly located at 69th and Minnesota, Joseph Vogel, MD, and Kara Bruning, MD, are now at the 69th and Cliff location. The former pediatrics clinic at 69th and Minnesota is now home to Avera Medical Group Internal Medicine Women’s Sioux Falls.
A group of Avera OB/GYN providers have moved from the main Avera McKennan campus to the 69th and Cliff location to bring their specialty care to a growing neighborhood, including Kimberlee McKay, MD; Brenda Kallemeyn, MD; Amber Saloum, MD; and Traci Redmond, CNP. New physician, Amanda Kappenman, MD, is also joining this practice.
In total, the clinic employs 50 people.
At 48,000 square feet, the two-story facility has 54 exam rooms and 18 procedure rooms. Like other new Avera clinics, the 69th and Cliff location is designed for patient privacy and staff efficiency. This design ensures that patients never encounter the “busyness” of clinic operations, and their experience is private and quiet.
In cooperation with other Avera primary care locations, this clinic offers same-day appointments.
“Primary care is most often the front-door to the health care experience, and we are proud to offer this state-of-the-art clinic in a growing neighborhood, with specialties that are vital in the care of families,” said Dave Kapaska, DO, Regional President and CEO of Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center.
The address of the new clinic is 6215 S. Cliff Ave. To make an appointment with one of the above practitioners, patients or referring physicians can call the following numbers:
