Krista Bohlen, PharmD, RPh

Dr. Krista Bohlen is the Director of Personalized Pharmaceutical Medicine, where she is involved in the strategic planning, development and integration of pharmacogenetics and genetics initiatives at Avera.

She serves as an assistant professor at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine and as an adjunct clinical assistant professor at South Dakota State University College of Pharmacy. She also serves as a research mentor.

Scientific Research Expertise

Dr. Bohlen has extensive clinical research experience related to pharmacogenetics. She launched the pharmacogenetics clinics, which provide an integrated approach for providers. She has also worked with pharmacogene test implementation.
