PHRAME a Study of MARCH

PHRAME wordmarkPHRAME (Perinatal Health Research and Action for Maternal Equity) is a community-based research project to collaboratively identify effective strategies to improve accessible, high quality perinatal health resources that reduce disparities in maternal morbidity (health complications during pregnancy, childbirth, or postpartum) for Western South Dakotans in need.

PHRAME includes multiple research activities in Rapid City and the Pine Ridge Reservation communities that involve:

  • Community members developing visual maps that represent key barriers/or supports in maternal healthcare quality and access.
