Avera Addiction Care Center in Aberdeen

Specialized addiction care services are available in Aberdeen, SD at Avera Addiction Care Center located inside Avera St. Luke’s Hospital. This program is based on the 12 steps of Alcoholics, Gamblers and Narcotics Anonymous.

Avera Addiction Family Program

During treatment, family members are encouraged to learn how to establish new communication skills and healthier relationships with their loved one by taking part in the Avera Addiction Family Program. 

Expect to receive the thorough treatment you need and deserve. Our addiction services use criteria for admission, continued service and discharge developed by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM).

Partial Hospital Program

During our Partial Hospital Program, you’ll receive six to 11 hours of treatment each week that may include counseling and group therapy and education. Find an Avera Behavioral Health provider near you, and find support for the mental health issues you’d like to address. 

The Helmsley Behavioral Health Center, a new four-story wing at the Avera Behavioral Health Hospital in Sioux Falls, includes partial hospitalization space for teens. 

Choose from a variety of outpatient behavioral health services such as:

  • Psychiatric assessment and medication management
  • Psychological evaluation
  • Individual and group therapy
  • Home-based family therapy services
